Acyclovir is an antiviral drug with high in vitro activity against herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2. the toxic effect on the cells of the host body is minimal. When acyclovir enters cells infected with the herpes virus, it is phosphorylated to form the active compound, acyclovir triphosphate. the first step of this process depends on the presence of virus-encoded thymidine kinase. HOW TO USE:
