Bromhexine is used in the treatment of wet cough, mucolytics are used, which facilitate coughing and help clear the respiratory tract faster.
Cough - dry (non-productive) - without mucus;
Wet (productive) - with sputum production.

RECOMENDED TO TREAT:

• Secretolytic therapy for acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases accompanied by impaired formation and promotion of sputum

HOW TO USE:

• Take film-coated tablets after meals with plenty of liquid (for example, a glass of water)


• Adults and children over 14 years of age: 1–2 film-coated tablets 3 times a day (corresponding to 24–48 mg/day of bromhexine hydrochloride)


• Children from 6 to 14 years of age, as well as patients weighing less than 50 kg: 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day (corresponding to 24 mg/day of bromhexine hydrochloride)


• Other special groups of patients: Bromhexine 8 Berlin-Chemie should be used with extreme caution (i.e. at larger intervals or in smaller doses) in cases of impaired renal function or severe liver disease (see section "Peculiarities of use")


• The duration of treatment is determined individually depending on the indications and dynamics of the disease. Bromhexine 8 Berlin-Chemie should not be used for more than 4-5 days without appropriate medical advice
